Drama Club at NASFEST

The school has many clubs such as Science club, AIDS Toto club, Wildlife and Drama club. The Drama club recently competed in the National Youth Arts Festival with a play titled ‘Gloves of Hope’. The play was written and directed by Bright Seyani and Felix Kataika.

The costumes were done by the patrons of the drama club, Miss Zema Alfazema and Mr Andrew Kathyoka with full support from the school. The girls got position one in the regional finals against schools like Robert Blake secondary school and Likuni boys secondary school. They also got plenty of award like best English speaking group and best costume and most captivating scene.

At the national finals which were held at Kamuzu Institute of Sports, they were on position three, tied with Marymount secondary school and Joyce Banda foundation. It was a great achievement indeed to actually manage to get position one and three being the first performances in front of a large audience and competing against giants in the NASFEST world.
